AAUP-GENERAL is intended for use by our members to discuss issues of interest to the profession and to the AAUP, including but not limited to, academic freedom and tenure, college and university government, matters relating to appointment, reappointment, promotion and tenure, economic status of the profession, collective bargaining, and issues relating to the operation of AAUP chapters and state conferences. While open to all interested parties, we urge all participants to join the AAUP, and will send an application form to nonmembers.
